Tingira Boat Club

Tingira Boat Club offers a full range of facilities and social activities for most age groups, both on and offshore. Membership is open to all boating enthusiasts, boat owner or not, and all boat types (power and sail) are welcome.
There is also a strong contingent of dragon boat and outrigger sailors.

The Club premises are located at 91 Coast Road, Macleay Island, clearly signposted from High Central Road. Full Club details are available from Commodore Moss Lane, or Secretary Peter Fox, Phone (07) 3409 5055.

Our annual Brian Calvert Memorial Sailing Event is held in October each year (weather permitting). This is a “big boat” sailing event. Yachts and trailer sailers are welcome to participate, including non-members.

Amongst regular activities, members enjoy boating picnics at selected locations around Moreton Bay, together with boating weekends away.

The licensed Club premises are open for Club Night from 6pm every Friday night – a social gathering of members and friends .

The first Friday of each month is the celebrated Fish ‘n Chip Supper which is usually open to all but under Covid Regulations, this is now members and guests only.

Sunday sailing and Dragon Boat Racing is available on days when the weather and tide are suitable. Lunch on the deck is available at a reasonable price and the bar opens at midday.

The Club’s small sailing dinghies and kayaks may be used by Club members. Non-members may attend up to three times as a trial before being asked to join the Club. Children under 18 must be supervised by a parent, guardian or authorised adult at all times. For more information, contact Secretary Peter Fox, Phone (07) 3409 5055.

The fleet of six Vagabonds are available for sail instruction and fun races. There are two Dragon Boats owned by the Club and these operate on Sundays if the tide is suitable.  For further information contact Secretary Peter Fox, Phone (07) 3409 5055.
